The worldwide cryptocurrency market capitalization increased by 2.11 percent to $1.73 trillion in the last 24 hours, while trading volumes increased by 23.83 percent to $85.36 billion.
The overall volume in the DeFi area was $12.83 billion, or about 15.02 percent of the 24-hour cryptocurrency trading volume. Stablecoins accounted for $72.04 billion in total volume, or about 84.40 percent of the 24-hour cryptocurrency trading volume.
On March 8, Bitcoin's market domination increased by 0.13 percent to 42.39 percent, and the currency was trading at $38,635.59.
